About this Project

The brief was simple: create multipurpose built-in joinery that could adapt as the homeowners’ needs change. What is now a laundry folding bench, display shelving and a reading nook can evolve into a change table, toy storage and, eventually, a cot or single bed. Carefully considered proportions and varied board thicknesses maximise storage, while the Steccawood batten detail flows seamlessly throughout, creating one cohesive architectural element designed to grow with the family.
