Design Awards FAQ
Here are the most commonly asked questions.
Whoever has specified a project using polytec products may enter the Design Awards.
Entry to the Design Awards is completely free!
Submissions close on the 28th of June 2021. No further projects will be accepted after this date.
Voting opens on the 29th of June 2021, and will run until the end of July.
Each state has a Residential and Commercial category to be won in the People’s Choice and Professional awards. The winners of the state Professional awards will then be judged on a national scale.
To submit a project, you must first sign up for a Business account. Once verified and approved, you may begin submitting projects.
Each project needs to be submitted as one entry, not over several entries, regardless of application. For example, if one residential project is submitted in segments, e.g. bathroom and kitchen, this will be rejected.
All submitted photography must be of professional quality, high resolution Jpeg (min 800x800px and no larger than 10MB) and must not be watermarked.
Your project may have been rejected due to low image resolution, lacking in information or if no polytec products were evident in the submission. If you believe this was done in error, please contact us.
Your account should take no longer than 1 business day to be approved. If it takes longer than this, please contact us for assistance via online chat.
Project submissions are uncapped, so feel free to upload as many as you like!
You can vote a total of 12 times, which must be equally divided between Residential and Commercial projects.
If you are logged in to a business account attached to your projects, you cannot vote on them.
Yes, you will receive votes in your business account, rather than signing up for an individual voter account.
Yes, these can be removed from projects in ‘My Account’.
Yes, however, polytec must be used in majority of joinery in the project.
Anyone specifying polytec products or designing the project can submit.
These categories fall under Commercial, and can be specified in the information section of your project submission.
