About this Project

Our brief was to restore and refurbish the circa 1930s Boarding House [Malcolm House], GGS. Through the stripping back of face fixed services, elec and mech, the installation of fire services and the removal of years of intervention, the bones of the original boarding house have been exposed and preserved. Light was enhanced and natural light captured, contemporary and practical, warm finishes, materials and colours thoughtfully chosen and gently installed.
