The French Bistro

About this Project

The design was inspired by the client's desire to recreate the feeling of a 1950s Parisian bistro, with touches of Art Deco. The focus was on reconfiguring the existing dysfunctional dark space to increase natural light and storage, with quality fittings that would last. The design features custom made steel windows and doors, fluted Steccawood pieces for door panels, a green marble benchtop, bespoke brass overhead shelving, inlaid door detail, a hidden laundry and wine storage. Overall this is a complete transformation of this heritage listed home in Sydney Inner West.
