Following a brief to improve durability and spatial quality for a growing family, a low impact design was necessary to avoid disturbing the existing heritage and environmental values of the area. In the shared living areas, the warmth of Florentine Walnut was selected as it matched the overhead timber beams as they were met with natural daylight from the overhead windows and glazed backsplash in the kitchen.
